History and Context

Released during the height of Philips' European audio equipment manufacturing era in the 1970s, the 22RH421 was designed as a small, affordable bookshelf Hi-Fi loudspeaker box. It was frequently bundled or paired with vintage Philips stereo receivers, amplifiers, and turntables of that decade. Variants like the 22RH421/11Z or 22RH421/51Z were distributed across different European markets, including Austria and Belgium. Today, they are sought after by retro audio collectors for their classic aesthetic and warm, vintage sound profile.

Units can be paired with several of our combo sets.
