The Bang & Olufsen Beovox S45-2 (Type 6312) were produced in Denmark from 1977 to 1980. Widely regarded by enthusiasts on Beoworld as one of the best-balanced passive phase-link speakers B&O ever made, they offered 45W RMS (75W music power) in a compact 25-litre cabinet.
Design & Evolution
- Predecessor: Evolved from the original Beovox S45, the S45-2 brought minor adjustments to internal components and cabinet tuning while keeping the signature high fidelity.
- Drivers: Built with a 3-way system featuring an 8-inch rubber-surround woofer (Peerless), a special 4-inch phase-link midrange unit (Seas), and a 1-inch dome tweeter (Philips).
- Finishes: Offered in classic Scandinavian real-wood veneers including teak, rosewood, and oak, as well as white sanding varnish. This version is in teak.
