What service do we offer?
Updated: Sep 12
Every item featured on this website has been carefully selected, examined, repaired when needed, and occasionally fully restored. Our vintage audio equipment is typically over 40 years old. We believe that our products may proudly display some cosmetic signs of previous ownership, as this is part of their story. Many hifi enthusiasts assert that specific maintenance is necessary with age, such as replacing old capacitors in amplifiers or loudspeakers. We sometimes agree with that, but only on a case-by-case basis, and after thorough evaluation and measurement. Indeed, some audio gear tends to perform noticeably better when worn-out electrical components are replaced. If this is the case, we may carry out the service if the investment is worthwhile in terms of 'added value' for the client. Otherwise, we prefer to leave the product as it is and provide details about its exact condition on this site. However, if a new owner has specific requests for additional service (such as 'a full recap'), this can be discussed when a client shows serious interest. Our overall motto is: do not modify vintage audio gear excessively just for the sake of modification. If you decide to take a product, we will agree on a reasonable period for the unit to demonstrate its serviced condition. During that time, we will repair the item for free if it develops technical issues. Our goal is for you to enjoy your gear from the start and for many years to come!
Our item descriptions are AI-supported and are complemented with comments about its current state or the work that was done on it. If you need additional information about a particular piece of gear you may always contact us.
