SR-1050C: The complete consumer package, which shipped with a walnut-veneered wood plinth, a dust cover, and a factory-installed Sansui Induced Magnet (IM) cartridge.
SR-1050E: Identical to the "C" variant but sold without the factory cartridge.

Drive System: It utilized a 4-pole hysteresis synchronous motor driving a heavy, 1.2 kg double-rimmed die-cast aluminum platter via a rubber belt. The heavy platter acted as a flywheel to maintain speed stability.
Speed Selection: It featured a mechanical push-button speed selector for 33 and 45 RPM. The buttons were distinctively illuminated to aid visibility in low-light listening rooms.
The Tonearm: The table featured a statically balanced "J-shaped" tonearm (often identified as the TA-2050, which was the only tonearm Sansui ever sold as a standalone component). It came equipped with a lateral balancer and a weighted anti-skate mechanism.
Dual-Purpose Control: A signature design trait was its feather-touch cueing lever. Lifting the lever upright powered on the motor, and pulling it forward engaged a specialized, oil-damped mechanism to gently lower the needle.
