The Realistic Minimus 8 was introduced by Radio Shack around 1977—originally growing out of the earlier "Solo 8" and Solo 103 lineage. Manufactured in Korea, these compact bookshelf speakers featured a single 4-inch full-range driver housed in a wood-veneer or vinyl-wrapped cabinet.
