The Luxman L-230 is a vintage stereo integrated amplifier produced by Luxman between 1982 and 1985. Part of the popular L-200 series, it delivered 63 watts per channel into 8 ohms and featured a distinct champagne brushed aluminum finish, Duo-Beta circuit technology, and support for moving coil (MC) and moving magnet (MM) cartridges.
Design and Engineering
- Duo-Beta Feedback: Used a special negative feedback design to lower distortion without hurting phase accuracy.
- Tone Control: Placed directly inside the power amp feedback loop rather than using a separate traditional tone preamp board.
- Single PCB Policy: Mounted power transistors right onto the main circuit board to shorten signal paths.
